As a documentary photographer, we are surrounded by change. In a forever fast-paced world, we are constantly bombarded with short videos, news updates, media smothering and that constant online dopamine fix for the "next thing". But what about your dopamine? A photo is a wellness reminder to remember to truly feel your authentic self. To some people, they may view this as not living in the present moment. But to me, it's a tool that allows us to slow down, put the horse-blinders up, focus on the visual and finally get to process that emotion over and over again until our emotional cavity is filled to the brim. Time won't ever stop. Truly. And sometimes, it's unforgiving. Which is why your memories matter. Which is why your experiences matter. I cannot stress this enough but YOUR EMOTIONS MATTER.
